When I made frag racks, I usually got the cheapest 1" x 3/8" neodymium magnets for the inside and the epoxy coated 1" x 1/4" neodymium magnets for the outside, for 1/2" glass. The inside magnets do have to be totally coated with something that is saltwater safe.

The key is to epoxy coat them. I ordered some on Amazon, they were strong but not sealed well. Would love to find a better source if anyone has one.

Great thread questions :)

Do a search here on R2R for neodymium magnets. There are several threads that refer to sources for them.

cromag27 at octoaquatics on this blog makes great stuff and his frag rack prices are very reasonable.
