Hey, I have a Fijicube AIO kit for my 75g, it wont touch the bottom of my tank as my tank is 24" tall, and the Fijicube is 19 or so. The newest ones don't come with magnets or clamps, and since my tank is up and running Silicone isn't an option. I have been wanting to use magnets from the get go to hold this in place. I have been all over amazon and found some nice epoxy coated magnets that would absolutely do the trick, however they say that they are Ni+Cu+Ni coated (under the epoxy). Being that they have a copper plating, I kind of want to stay away from them.

What magnets can we recommend to use in our tanks that wont leach copper?
If I put them in dual wall heat shrink tubing, will that sufficiently add another layer of redundancy?

Thoughts?

Agree with above thread :D K&J is the way to go.

I think I am going to go with these, and put them in dual walled heat shrink. The heat shrink is the same thing as plastic encapsulation no?

ust make it part of your regular maintenance to inspect the magnets for swelling. Get them out of the tank at the first sign that they are compromised. I really don’t like magnets in tanks
