Looking to add either of the 2 listed above. I need another work horse and know both of these would do just that. I'm personally a tang man,but have greatly considered a magnificent foxface too (only xenia and shrooms as far as softies, so no worries on those losses). I can't decide and thought I'd ask around you guys. So.... What's your pick?

If I had the choice, I would do the magnificent foxface, hands down. IMO, a much more beautiful fish and my experience with foxfaces is that they have great "personality". I had a one-spot foxface that would spit water at me when I would walk by the tank. :-)

Nice!! How was your foxface at grazing daily (good, occasionally, non stop)? My tangs now (vlamingi and black long nose) graze now and then, but I enjoyed my orange shoulder (chocolate's cousin) was 24/7 which is what I want (snails are good, but 8 feet of acrylic calls for a ton and are hit n miss for the $)

Active swimming and picking at the rocks all day. Never touched anything other than food and algae on the rocks. He got too big for my tank and I moved him on to a buddy with a 150g or he would still be with me.

Good deal. I appreciate your time.

I always wanted a fox face, but they will get to large for my 120. Any of the bristle tooth tangs will be algae workhorses. Like the chevron, kole and those sorta tangs. I have no experience with the tang or fox face you have listed. If you do go with a fox face however remember the top fin has venom in those spikes.
