Been seeing a few of these bad Larry’s popping up. Can’t tell if it’s a majano anemone or ball. Thoughts?

honestly could be either. my gut says majano though because i do notice color. ball would have translucent polyps
Yeah they have bright green tips under blue light. I see at least five around. I’ll try to snap a shot of another one.

Seems like Majano it is. Will gluing over then be effective?

Something about these nems looks off for majano, but they're definitely not ball anemones, and my issue could just be the result of the low res images...

To kill them you would have better luck with kalkwasser mixed with tank water, then just cover them with that.

Thanks for the feedback! They are super small so I had to do like 7x zoom on my iPhone to get any type of detail

Likely Majano. Pic is blurry but representative of majano. While many consider them a pest, some like and keep them due to some cool colors they come in. While they are associated with aptasia, theyre no where near as bad

Update! I never attempted to remove the hitch hiker. It’s grown quite large and wondering if these pics can help with definitive id. Low quality images cuz it’s really tucked away.

Honestly doesn’t look like either with those pics. Majano to me typically have a bubble tips. Balls typicallly have white balls in the tips. Though balls can come in other colors

I'm glad you kept them, these are always interesting finds to learn from. :)

The tentacle shape, color, and length all make me think of a torch rather than an anemone. Have you seen them relocate on their own at any time? Or have they been stationary once you noticed them?

Also, do they keep increasing in number, or do you have roughly the same number as when you last posted?
