Hey guys,
I'm thinking of making myself a small 16gallon tank. Any advice for me?
Thanks!

Have all your pieces cut by an acrylic supplier, and use Weldon 40 instead of the water thin products. WO40 is way stronger. J

Glass or acrylic? If glass make sure you get plate, non-tempered in case you ever decide to drill. I'm no acrylic guru so I'll leave that to the others here whom know how to work it.

1/4" will be fine especially if you plan to drill, any thinner you run into cracking of the glass just because its so fragile. Have a glass shop cut the sheets for you and you will be good to go. There are some great how-to videos on youtube that will walk you through the process. URAJOEY has a great channel and is very informative.
