I Know Right!Sweet!
Ok thanks for the info! That puts my mind a little more at easeThat container does look to be about half the size of a standard unit used in aquarium so it could very well be that is normal
I’m posting pictures tonight! Thanks for taking interest!Nice beginning of a tank I would like to see the progress.
Thanks! And yeah, I love bowfronts, people complain about distortion but its not that bad and I kinda like it.I had a 36g bowfront for several years. I miss that tank. Kinda wish I hadn’t “upgraded” sometimes. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
I also love the dimensions, and yeah, lighting was a problem at first. The one thing I don't like is the hug center brace. It is 3 inches wide. I'd love to put a third light but can't because of the brace.I never had a problem with it myself. Lighting it was a bit of a pain but it looks like you’ve got that covered nicely. I loved the dimensions.
yea, Im only keeping softies and maybe a hammer. I may convert to a black box eventually thoughYep. That brace was a kill joy. I only kept low light corals in the tank so I didn’t worry too much about I. Put a current orbit strip light on it. It did the job for what I had. It was restrictive though and I could tell the corals near the bottom didn’t get enough light.
I love them, but sadly they aren’t invert safeNice clown a ribbon eel would go with it nicely.
I finished my first run of RODI...It seems my DI already has some depletion at the botton. Is this normal? If not, What could I do to fix this?
Thanks! I’ll check my local water specs and see if chloramines are the problem. If your source water is high in chloramines this could be the cause of rapid DI consumption. If this is the cause the way to fix is a three stage DI unit that separates cation, anion, and mixed DI resins. You then change out just the single depleted resin.
Thanks! You can get test strips from a swimming pool store or likely Amazon. Test the waste water coming out of your RODI unit.

Can Chloramines get past a good RO/DI
There is a lot of contradictory information out there about Chloramines and RO/DI. If I have a good working RO/DI with catalytic carbon, can Chlorine/Chloramine get past the RO stage. As a follow up. If the carbon gets exhausted will the Chloramines show up on a TDS meter and will it get...www.reef2reef.com
