@saltyfilmfolks is a snail population self limiting? Or am i going to have to get something that eats astrea snails? It seems i have an explosion of them they are on everything and getting bigger.

Lol. I'd start selling them local. (Coral money)

They like bugs n pods do bloom, And starve off after they do a deep clean. Just takes time.

Just realized with life it has been almost 8 years since i posted on this thread.

Tank is still up and running. Same rock only the Powder Brown and Clarkii clown survived and about 20% of the coral from 8 years ago are in there. But it isnt the same tank.

About 2 years ago i came back from 6 months of being gone for work to realize something wasn't right. One of the seams in my tank had split where the water leak was totally unnoticeable to the naked eye. When i got home the salinity was 1.020 so I knew something was off. The entire stand was a giant soggy marshmallow, dont know how the stand held the tank but it did.

Fast forward to now and the tank itself is looking like a reef tank again. No new fish additions, not willing to deal with QT currently. Plus the fact that my 2 fish are 15+ years old at this point dont really want to risk them.

Will post pics today as the day goes on. The biggest lose of all was when i lost my giant clam, should have known from that phone call that something was off but was another 2 months before i came home.

Curious to see how you will like the edge!

So far i really enjoy it. Super easy to program, after about a month i think i have the spectrum dialed in to what im using on the 26. Havent decided if its going over my current tank with the 26 or if im upgrading to a 125 in the next couple of weeks before i put walls in my basement. Things are fairly happy in my current tank so dont really want to mess with that just to mess with them again when moving over to new tank.
