Mandarin wounded by something?

Hi everyone,

I noticed this wound today on my new mandarin fish, which I introduced four days ago. I don’t recall seeing it when I first added him to the tank, but I might be wrong. Since his introduction, he’s been having compatibility issues with a smaller Royal Gramma that I often see acting aggressively toward him whenever the mandarin approaches its territory — and this happens repeatedly.

Could this be a bite mark or something else?
Is it something to worry about?

This is a wound that may be infected. Your best chance for healing will be treating the scooter blenny in a separate tank using seachem neoplex for up to 10 days with aeration added

I agree, this looks like a bacterial infection (these are often circular like that). Can you add a tank divider to stem the aggression from the royal gramma?

The fish looks a bit thin, is it eating well?

Found a pic i took yesterday and can confirm there was nothing like this, so I assume is a bite from the Gramma (also the dimensions of the bite and the gramma’s mouth are similar), tomorrow i’ll buy the divider. He’s eating quite often, he also got plenty of food to hunt and I also dose rotifers.. He is also pretty active mainly during Dawn and Sunset and even night time.
