I’ve got a pretty bad green turf algae situation in my 40b, and I’m looking to dose Flux Rx as a last resort. Urchins and emeralds won’t touch it.

Tank is SPS dominant with a sizeable zoanthid population as well. My bigger concern, however, is my 4 large mangroves. I’ve had these for 3 years grown from sticks, they have multiple branches and dozens of leaves and I don’t want to risk them. Does anyone have specific personal experience dosing Flux Rx with mangroves? Is it worth trying, or too big a risk?

It will affect mangroves
Try pressing the algae firmly with your thumb and you should then be able to peel it up

I'd personally go with manual removal as well, to the point that your herbivores can manage whatever is left.

Try ninja star snails which do attack this
