Hello all,

Trying to figure out what species of mantis shrimp I have. I ordered it online unseen and was told it was a peacock. From what I can see, I don’t believe it is a peacock. These are the only pictures I have gotten of it for now. Will try and get some full shots of it, once it starts roaming around more.

Female G. ternatensis.

Unfortunately a taboo species as they're exclusively found via destroying live coral heads to collect them. Liveaquaria has horrendous track record with properly IDing them and collectors don't seem to care thinking it'll still be the worth of a true peacock.

Not your fault, just let LA know so maybe the 100th times the charm on them learning.
