Thanks everyone ! Just waiting on a few plumbing items from BRS, also waiting on leveling mats to arrive. I plan on placing one under the sump and tank.

Wondering if anyone can recommend a protein skimmer. Was looking at a vertex 130 or 150 or bubble magus curve 5 also Geosreef had offered to build a skimmer for this setup. What are all ur thoughts?

Well if geosreef offered...mama told me “don’t ever turn down a free meal.”

I love the sump - I was unaware Geo would customize them. We've been shopping for a new sump and lamenting the fact that we could not get a SU46 with an ATO reservoir but not a refugium.

I also decided on my skimmer, initially I wanted to use a vertex 130. Unfortunately my skimmer area is slightly limited, so I opted for something with a small foot print.

I’ve decided to go with a Simplicity 120 dc skimmer. I hope to do a review on this skimmer in the near future.

Some sump details. Just saw this now and thought I’d share.

My only problem with this Sump and I’ve started to see these a lot and maybe someone could clear it up for me but the heater in this video, in its attachment, appears to be maybe 12 inches, and an Eheim Jager, and this Sump is obviously larger and meant for at least 100 gallons. My point is you can’t fit the 18-20 inches of space you’d need for a heater. If that’s 20+ inches in that chamber then my god that’s an large Sump! Beautiful either way!

Also take note that with a refugium this small, running a Triton system would be difficult as you need 10% of TWV in a refugium. I THINK [emoji848]

The model in the video is 46" long and 15 or 18" wide, iirc. It is obviously not designed for Triton system, with only 4 dosing line holders and the filter socks

Yes this was a issue I had when I was ordering my sump. I decided to put two 150watt heaters in the overflow area in the sump before the sock area.

My sump does not have the traditional heater holders as seen in that earlier video. Because the space wasn’t sufficient. 150watt heaters would not fit.
