MARINE X 60.2 Custom Build

Any Updates? I just started a 60.2 a couple weeks ago. Love this sump. How big is the skimmer compartment? I am also running a nanomat, but I picked up a Nyos 160 skimmer for cheap so I want to have roof that that.

I'll post an update right now! Sorry I haven't been logged into this forum for a while! I've mainly been using PNWMas which is a local one for me. How is your setup doing?? Mine is a custom built sump so it isn't the usual measurements, I haven't even installed my little skimmer! This tank runs really low nutrients. My nitrates hover at about 2, my phosphates to rise though so I run gfo to keep them down!

Here are some updated photos with how the tank is doing! Stability really is key, the coral growth has been so exciting to see!! I've been selling frags of zoa's and I've sold about 15 heads from the gold hammer on the right. I've turned off my reef mat in an attempt to keep my nitrates from bottoming out, and I added a starfish!

Catastrophic event.. just noticed this on our sump

Well, that definitely was an event... I noticed the silicone giving out on our sump (very thankful it happened on the front pane so I could see it), and started trying to find a replacement sump ASAP. Our cabinet isn't very big though, the sump couldn't be any longer than 16" length wise which caused some issues.. THANKFULLY Harley from PNW custom had a brand new sump in his garage that he wasn't using. We went to pick it up, did some measurements and it would work after removing one of the baffles to make room for the return pump! My wife and I went into full tank surgery mode last night. We turned all the life support off, dosed some benepets to keep the corals happy, and got to work! Everything went fairly fine except for 2 things. 1. I don't think our overflow is sealed to perfection, when I disconnected the emergency standpipe, water was continuously leaking from the display. That added a huge level of urgency and stress.. 2. The only way the main drain pipe fits into this sump, is if the sump is pushed ALL the way to the right side of the tank. That's fine except all the wiring that's sitting over there.. so.. for the rest of this tank being setup at our apartment, the wiring on the right is just going to be a bit janky looking. All in all, I'm very thankful we have a new sump installed and everybody is happy once more!!
