hi all,

This past week I setup my Mariner M70, which was a bit of a whirlwind. I'm in Central America, so getting the aquarium here took a bit of coordination through a forwarding agent, but all got here in one piece.

Specs:
Mariner M70
Jebao DCP-4000 running at 55%
Hygger 300w heater
2x Noo-Psyche K7 Pro IV
1 Hygger mini-wavemaker - will be upgraded to 1x GMP-35 and a GLW-35 from Jebao.
30-40# of liferock and marco rock
30# Blue Treasure #2 sand
Skimmer will be added later on

I build a rock structure with around 30 or 40 lbs of marco rock and life rock, and set it directly on glass, then added the sand. Filling the tank took around 2 days as I have a 50 GPD RO/DI unit and only 5 gallon jugs, so was a bit of back and forth. For salt, I used Fritz RPM, which I got free with the tank purchase.

Then exactly the day after I filled it, we had an Earthquake! 7.7 magnitude around 200km away, which caused a good amount of water to splash out of the tank. Luckily nothing was damaged, and all it took was to refill the sump a bit and dry the area around the aquarium.

The tank now has a few corals from my previous nano in (Acan, Zoas, mushrooms) and a saltwater Mollie. I took rock from my other tank to seed this one, and have been dosing Microbacter 7 daily.

Stocking Plans:
Fish:
1 yellow tang (or kole, potentially)
2 x percula clownfish from my current nano (and a host Sebae anemone)
1x Flame Angel
1x Goby (still not decided whicih one)
1x wrasse, potentially a six line

Corals:
I'm transferring the few I have in my other aquarium (except the clavularia), so I'll start with:
1 orange Acan
Assorted Zoas
assorted mushrooms
Sebae Anemone

From here, I'll keep to a mixed reef. I really tike torches and similar LPS, and eventually might do one of the hardier SPS when the system is stabilized.

Overall has been a fun build, and looking forward to filling fully!
