Maxspect Gyre XF350 CE underwhelming flow

Do these have the same High Maintenance clean regiment or they significantly slow down ?
Yes and no

Even when they do begin to slow down (all pumps do this no matter the shape and size over time due to build up, in my experience), they still produce a lot of power. I've had my first one for about 8 months now. the only time it got a very small clean was when I moved it from old tank to new

Guess it also depends what you determine as lots of maintenance. Everyone will interpret this differently depending on setup, time and personality

Edit: I generally don't like cleaning pumps and will do it only when I really have to. Oversizing can help, then you just turn it up as it loses power. The only time a power head will badly slow down in my experience is if it's really gunked up(really gunked up being caretaker has bigger problems like algae or extra blooms). Other then the standard bacterial build up slow down that all pumps get

I am running 2 XF350s on opposite ends of a 6 ft 180 gallon tank and they are really powerful. At 75% the fish are literally being blown around. I am using a hydros wave engine to control them though.
Can you share your settings using Hydros? I am having similar issues as the OP... I am using Hydros, thought maybe that is the issue. Running 100% during day and I figured that would blow sh&t around but it is not.

Just found my issue. I was sure I had the 350 so configured the controller for the 350 but I bought the 330 by mistake. Now that the controller is configured for the 330 I can pull them up to 60W as listed.
Still the wrong size for my aquarium though not sure when I failed but it is my failure :( thank you all for your suggestions and help

So new question. Having 2 vertical XF330 rated for 4ft max and I do have a Peninsula 5ft. What should I add to have the right flow? Adding another horizontal gyre jebao 180 or maxspect 350 under the overflow weir? Or should I add 2 MP40 (jebao equivalent) on each side of the overflow?
I will not change the xf330 due to budget constraint but I can add something on top

Ive ditched 2 XF330 for a single Jebao DMP-40 and im getting much better and stronger random flow. The amount of detritus that got kicked up after turning on the DMP-40 was insane
