Maxspect Lagoon Smart Aquarium

I'm looking for an aquarium to add to my home office and I'm intrigued with the Maxspect Lagoon smart aquarium. I'm probably answering my question, but other than a couple of ads and videos (namely the BRS video with Ryan where they walk through the aquarium), I haven't seen or heard much about it.

Is Maxspect a reputable brand? Has anyone seen this set up in the wild? Has anyone seen any end-user reviews?

It’s a good brand for lighting

I didn’t know they made a tank setup. I just looked at it. Nearly $5000 for a 80g tank, stand, sump, skimmer, return pump, and gyre wavemaker. Not even lights or ato for that price. This is the most overpriced system I’ve come across in a while

I bought one of these out of pocket and paid full asking price on Etsy just like everyone else. The price did increase form the original price, due to shipping costs increasing and them losing money on a few. Still a ridiculous deal though. If you’re not interested, no sweat off my back

I’m in same position and thinking the same thing it looks simple to set up I spoke to my LFS and he said it’s extremely good equipment but the only thing is to find a roller mat that’ll fit in sump if I can find this out think I’ll get lagoon 150 smart as my first set up

My only experience with Maxspect is with lighting. 150watt Razorx. Almost three years no issues.

Just picked up the Maxspect LS-090 from BRS on a deep discount and I’m floored with what an amazing/complete system it is. So floored, I just ordered the 32g (LS-060) since they dropped the $400 shipping fee.

I haven’t had a solid tank in years so I’d be happy to post some pics and more details of anyone is interested.

Nice, been contemplating one myself but heard the app to use all the functions on the equipment is not great and connection issues are reported, any thoughts so far or have you not had a chance to play with that? One of my hold ups is will I be able to fit my ice cap in sump UV in the sump. It is 3.5 x 3.5 x 18 tall. I’m assuming it would or could go in the filtration compartment. The sump doesn’t seem to have a lot of room the way it is laid out. Would love to get thoughts from others using this set up but can’t find much on it.

Man, you all make me want to snap up an LS-060, just because. I have no need for it, but I have the LS-150 already and the tanks are really well made.
