On another note, added this guy to the LS-150 a couple weeks ago.

For the Klir roller- does it seal well against the sock holes? The Maxspect tray
has a weird taper instead of cylinder shape.

I will say, the foam rings DO make a difference in all around performance of the roller. I installed them just now, and there is no leakage around the fleece like before. I hope it extends the time between roll changes.

leakage around the hole is very minimal, and I agree that the ring that comes with the klir does not fit perfectly. The gasket is extremely thin, any movement bumping will cause leakage. I just lift up the klir slightly while sticking the gasket to match the ring and set it back in place. Only takes a second.

Seemed to me when I tried the foam rings, there was too much tension on the fleece and the motors would not advance. Maybe it's just me.

I followed the video on installing them in this thread and dont hear any strain on the motor.

I did as well. Must just be me. My motors are very loud as it is.
do you have the newer version klir? They had problems with the older motors. If you purchased new, I would contact them and get the motor swapped.

They're both the newer version. I bought one new, one not. They've both been loud from day one. But, they work, so I don't feel too inclined to buy new ones.

My motor is def loud as well, but i don't hear it struggling. I miss my nanomat lol. It was super easy to change the roll, and it lasted around a month.

Decommissioned the LS-060 over the summer as I just didn't have a clear direction for it. But, now that the LS-150 is mostly on cruise control I refilled it the other day with a new aquascape.

Ultimately, I think my plan will be to relocate most lps/euphyllia over to the LS-060 and keep the focus on SPS in the 150.

Current look:

Moved most euphyllia and a few other pieces over today. The tank is already full. 😳

Aside from the dead head that was half dead when I got the colony, this Aussie gold is looking happy at the moment.
