Mine both leaked also!!! How are you resealing?
Oh no! I haven't plumbed mine yet, but I'm worried now!

I'd just let them dry out if possible and run a bead of silicone over the leaky joint. Let it cure for a day or so and give it a try again.

I found the unions and gaskets needed a little food grade silicone to provide a good seal.

I like the gravity fed ATO. It gives me about 4 days of topoff. I bought a sheet of acrylic at Lowe’s today to use as a evap lid. Going to see how many days I can get with the lid on. Hoping for a week for work or vacations. If not, I’ll use a 5 gallon bucket and ATO for when I need it occasionally.

Ok, two things.

Am I the only one that couldn't get the return section of the sump cover to fit?

Second, I didn't find the sponge that goes in the refugium section. Where was it packaged? Maybe I accidentally threw it away.

I didnt receive a sponge either. Skimmer stopped throwing bubbles in the tank after 30 minutes. Return pipes cover fit no problem. Did you try turning the pump around?

I definitely had to adjust it a few times to make it work.

I'll have to mess with it. It also seems like the pump barely sits on the bottom of the sump.

For what it's worth, the return section cover for my LS-150 doesn't fit either. So, worst case I just run without.

I had all the unions loose, made sure the pump sat flat albeit it sits close to back side of sump, and then tightened everything up. I really hope they update the app with schedules for the gyre, skimmer, and return pump.

I was going to buy a lid, but everyone wants $300+ to include the evap cover. I went to Lowe’s and bought a 1/4 inch sheet of acrylic and lid hangars for $30. Hopefully have it up tomorrow to see how long I can get the ato last.

Hmm, mine actually sits too close to the front of the compartment. I have it with the power cord on the backside. Is that the same way you have it?

I wouldn't think it would matter since it's the same footprint either way.

I haven't decided if I'll use the ATO system or not. I was thinking of just putting a 10g ATO reservoir between the LS-150 and LS-60 and have both tanks fees from there. Ideally, I'd set up the reservoir to gravity fill from my 55g RO/DI reservoir in the next room.

I will probably buy a Top Lids lid for mine. I have one for the LS-150 and really like it. Not cheap though for sure.

I just looked at mine, I installed it opposite from yours.

No room for a full ato reservoir with new set up. Trying to keep it a clean look in the dining room. I had a 10 gallon in the stand of my max nano which lasted me over a month which I loved. But I love this new Maxspect more and am determined to make it work.

Maybe I'll flip it around tomorrow and see if that's better.

I like the idea of the gravity fed ATO for sure, so I may end up buying it.

Had a random thought on why the plumbing was so tight and the cover hard to fit. Maybe I need to slide the entire tank back on the stand a bit. Right now the back of the tank is flush with the back of the stand. 🤔

I just checked mine Kj, and all sides are flush with the stand. I remember keeping unions loose and then having to turn the return pipes +/- some degrees to get the pump to fit.

Ok, then I'll leave it. I got it to fit as is, but that cover is definitely snug against the pipes.

Ok filled the tank, have several leaks in the plumbing. I brought it up to BRS, they refunded me 40% because the tanks are discontinued and it would take 5-6 weeks to get new plumbing. They are such great people. I know some people have had issues but their customer team has been incredible every time I’ve had an issue.

Waiting to finish cycle then I’ll be adding a couple clowns.

Gear update

I installed two 100w Titanium heaters with an Helio controller.

Kessil A360 X

Gravity ATO.

I also used the 4k gyre I have had on the shelf for a while instead of the 2k

Good on BRS. What I don't understand though, is if BRS is the US distributor and support for Maxspect (unless they won't be anymore), why don't they stock replacement parts more extensively? Instead they have to communicate to Maxspect and wait for the item to ship from China. At that rate, we may as well go directly to Maxspect and cut BRS out of the equation.

Very true! It’s annoying but I feel they did me right.
