I have a small 25g tank and I dose AFR for alk. From what I gather, 25ml is the max for my tank and im at 23ml and its still not keeping my alk up with all my coral at the moment. If I max out the AFR at 25ml and its still not enough what would be the next step to keep my alk up?

Maxing out isn’t a thing unless your aeration cannot keep up O2.

Do you have a skimmer?
I was just going off the can of AFR stating 25ml for 100l was the max recommended.
No skimmer on this tiny AIO. I have one and have tried it but it just creates a TON of micro bubbles and skims so wet I have to change the cup many times a day. Even turning down to the slowest settings didnt help.

Yes, and TM has stated the only max relates to O2. If it has adequate aeration in other ways, I’d just up the dose.

TM says that’s more of a suggestion than a rule from what I’ve heard. (What Randy said about O2) Can definitely dose A/B or top off with Kalk if you don’t want to up your dose. But I’d probably just up your dose.
Good for you, means your tank is happy!

Rodger that! I have plenty of surface aeration so I should be good to sneak up on that happy number to keep things stable. Its a small tank but its stuffed with SPS and LPS corals that are growing like weeds.

Please be informed, you are required to share a pic of your tank.

Sounds epic!
