I have a clownfish no coral plan on getting another clownfish soon and coral in the future 10g tank first every saltwater just wondering what medications should I keep on hand I’m asking as my betta got sick and I didn’t have anything and wasn’t able to get anything for a few days and it got bad so I had to euthanize him so lesson learned should have medication on hand what would you guys recommend I don’t have another tank for qt btw but my lfs does qt saltwater fish for 28 days they run prazi and copper depending on fish

#fishmedic may be able to help here. Good luck!

Prazipro, Ruby Reef, Copper Power. But make sure you also get a Hanna Copper checker, because if you do have to run Copper, you have to keep it between certain parameters for therapeutic effects.

That’s if you’re in the US. Canada and the EU have issues getting a lot of proper fish meds.

I would have more copper and Prazipro on hand. Additionally If you can obtain formalin or a formalin containing product that may help for brooklynella (metronidazole as well). A broad spectrum antibiotic (kanamycin/neomycin) is often recommended. Remember that all of these medications have expiration dates - so watch that.

I would consider repeating the QT process for both fish and leaving your display fallow for 6-8 weeks.
