I would go with the right photo BUT, I would suggest a slightly loser crop. Just a little more space under the bottom polyps and a touch more of the green transition. Basically the same crop but stretch the right bottom corner a dozen pixels or so.

I had the same thought and had already done it. See what you think?

This would have really worked even better with just a fraction more DOF in the yellow-ish section of the base. I prefer the previous crop but not by much.

I love that thing. Really hated cleaning socks. It has worked perfectly for the 8 months in use. I go through a roll every about two and half months or so. Rolls are expensive at $32 a peice. Just found some replacements on Amazon for $18 but haven't tried them yet.
