Megabite's 180 Reef - Round 2

Thursday AD update. Doing well but a bit concerned with the color on the base. Between all I've been doing to combat Dinos, I think it's starting to affect the corals a little. Not too mad though.

Start to today

Done! After the comp and once I need to prune, I will send you a nice frag. That's assuming it lives through the Dino's.

I'm glad it is. The setback sucks. Your AD, as I'm sure many other corals, was growing fast too.

No red arrows. Maybe the slowest week for you since getting the AD. Sending better luck with the dang Dinos.

Although less progress than usual, the arrows were missing due to time. My wife's birthday was Thursday and didn't have time to mark it up before heading out. There are a few new tips but didn't like the color in a few areas and their was barely any PE.

Here it is marked up.

Red Sea trace/aminos?
Looks just like it, huh?

I was actually adding RS AB+ daily until I got the Dinos. I’m thinking I over did it, although I followed directions, which contributed to the Dinos. I’m going to start back soon at about a 1/4 of what I was doing and see how it goes.

I had better PE and color when I was using it than right now. Then again, my issues may be all I’m doing to get rid of the Dino’s and has nothing to do with the aminos adding color and PE.

Isnt it dinos that are toxic anyway?

I'm pretty sure they are prorocentrum dinos which have toxicity. I have quite a few dead snails that I've been removing. Thankfully other inverts and fish seem to be doing fine.

I got the UV sweep. Did a treatment Saturday and yesterday and the reduction in Dinos is significant. The bed is looking great. Nice and clean. I know there are still dinos in there, but the sweep has provided the biggest positive impact so far.

Some quick iPhone pics.

Thanks man. I think it's my favorite fish.

Haven't taken many pics in a bit. Here's a couple with only blues on I just took.

Yes, down with the nasty little buggers! Never had them in any other tank so it's a new experience for me. I can honestly say, I don't care for them.

Temporarily moved myGoni's to front center of tank to UV the area. Nice place to tank pictures. This is about an hour or so after moving.

A little Goni love.

Goni love, you say? Soon as I read it, I thought of the song below but changed the lyrics to "Goni love... GON EE OO EE OO!"

It's a sing-a-long... everybody now!
