Melanurus wrasse hiding

Question, like the title says the wrasse will come out half a day while I am at work then goes to hiding most of the day. He is fairly old and massive lol. at least 8 years old. do you think just getting old. He eats no problem.

No mine always did that. He was never out all day.

Mine was super active for entire time, just last month saw him hiding more and more.
