mesenterial filaments

I just received a acanthastrea, and am not sure if it is just slimeing(sp) a lot or I've read about mesenterial filaments they may exude as a defense mechanism. It is not close to any other coral at this time but I did do a fresh water dip for about 10 minutes as a precaution. This is a 1x1 piece. Any thoughts?

Not so sure about the fresh water for most corals.

dip probably caused it to freak out I wouldnt be worried about it. and I wouldnt dip SPS or LPS in freshwater...
