"Mesh Mod", worth it?

I'm currently running a Reef Octopus 150 and been happy with how it works, just jealous of a friends XP-1000. Recently I was looking at some threads and how people say that by doing the "mesh mod" their skimmer just improves incredibly. Is it really worth it?

spoke with skins78 and he has my same skimmer were he did it and also had the gate mod done to it. he says it works great also.

I think the only drawbacks are the extra maint that might be involved... replacing the mesh etc from time to time.

didn't know you were talking about my skimmer...lol... willl this work in creating more microbubbles?? anyone? or will he just have to buy a bubble blaster???
