Zoa tank with Giesemann Spectra with 2 X 250W Hamilton 20Ks here.
Had this tank for more than 11 years under ATI Powermodule (the old model, with T5s only) with amazing results and switched to halides last May after missing so much my old tanks with halides.
The colors now are crazy!! Many of the natural pigments that had been "dorment" in some of the species are developing again and they really look like the ones found in the ocean! We can rememeber now where we collected them because of those pigments!! My kids are having a lot of fun!
No lights are able to provide those morphs like halides! Absolutely!

I have a Giesemann Inifiniti fixture with 150watt MH (Phoenix) and 4x T5s (combo of blue+, actinic, and likely purple plus) that will be used on my Elos System 70. No pictures yet because I just moved, but I’m excited to get it started
I’ve got the same fixture I need to put on my frag tank but don’t have the t5 end caps or found any for that matter.

Great choice @Crabs Mcjones to have moved to halides . Corals growth and color aside - a reef doesn't look alive without a halide . It just doesn't look right . Its a video so you have to click it to go to flickr to play it :)

I personally do not like radium even run on M80 but thats just stupid me . Looks of a reeflux / xm / hamilton at 10K is like a shallow reef picture to me

Here's mine with a 10K 250 watts xm bulb , 2 ATI coral plus and 2 ATI blue plus :-

Regards,
Abhishek
Going for the same look when I finish my renovations and set this bad boy up should arrive this week

It’ll work fine just raise it about 12” off the water

I recently just planted my main rock with sps.
I made a video yesterday.

Lighting
2 reefbrite 10,000k 250W
2 retrofit t5 actinic bulbs.

My theme: snorkling in the shallows :)
