New tank will be 60 x 24 x 25 and will be a mixed reef. Looking at the 250W Coralvue Dimmable Ballasts and Lumenarc Mini Stealth reflectors. Can I get by with 2 or will I need 3? Thanks.

I have the same dimensions as you, and I am currently under-illuminated with a 2X150 hqi/4 54 watt T5 unit. I'm going to upgrade to three (3) 250 hqi's in Lumenmax Elite reflectors. I considered two bulbs in the larger reflectors, but I want to make sure I have a completely even distribution of light over the tank.

It'll depend on what types of corals you want to keep. Using 2 lights might leave the center under lit and make growing SPS more difficult. If you go with 3 you'll have more light and a greater variety of corals that you can grow.

Try to put them kind of closer to the center and leave the sides with low light. Center is more important. Good luck
