Miami Orchid???

This was given to me because it wasn't doing well in a fellow reefers tank, he told me it was a Miami Orchid. When I got it it was brown and not growing at all. Now it is kind of maroon with blue growth tips. Is this what a Miami Orchid should look like? Photo was taken top down.

Hey I have a light brown Miami Orchid rescue and my tips look exactly like that. Mine is a slooow grower. The frag I got was half of that. When it takes off, it will have nice polyp extension. I have very little on mine. It is suppose to be a fast grower. I may move mine in the tank to see what happens

Looks like it could be....hard to tell but the tips look a lot like it. Don't you just love rescues? : )

Here is a shot of mine finally starting to color up:

It is now finally growing pretty well too. This is probably one of ORAs most underrated corals, IMO.
