The new Neros have stronger magnets, I called and verified with AI before I purchased them. They actually hold pretty darn good. I haven't had one problem.

Regarding them being on the back, I was tired of moving them when I cleaned my glass and everything. The only issue I've had with it is it does mess the sand in the front up a bit, but it looks a lot cleaner. I may add a third one to go across the tank from the side.
what grade of sand are you using?

Carib sea Fiji pink. Its just up in front of the glass where I'm having the problem . I do have the Neros turned up pretty high though, which is part of it. Getting that current on my torches and green slimer.

Very nice. I should have mounting mine like that. I could have saved a lot time and no breaking glass. LOL

Oh no, I broke glass haha. Took me longer to get the dang baffles out and the filter sock holder out than put the dang thing in. lol

On brighter side, with the way you installed it you can run the 5000 model.

I had to go with the 3000.

How do you like your filter roller?
I have been running one on my 120 for 2 months now and it lets alot more detrius through than my 7" filter sock.

Love it, need to get some update pictures. It's the convenience for me. Switch em out maybe once a month and thats it.

Some recent updates. I built a two head manifold this weekend and got it all installed. I am now running my reactor and my UV Sterilizer off of it, so I got two pumps out of the sump. Also an updated photo of the tank.

I totally forgot to post an update a month ago. My birthday was in November (turned the big 3...0...) and my mother in law got my 3d Reefing diffusers for my Hydra 32s. Love them so far, definitely creates a more even distribution of light.

Re doing our floors and kitchen, so I had to move the tank. After 16 hours of work the tank is relocated.
