Micmol aqua pro power supply issues.

Hi all. I have an old unit that i have resurrected for the next few months till we can travel from NZ to Ausie where i will buy an illumagic unit :) It is an aquapro colour 60watt unit. The power supply is 12v 5a which i believe is also 60w Most of the lights are not working as they should... So i thought id try the 24v 2.5 power supply from my pump and bam i almost blew my eyes out with the brightness... ( i know this would over drive the unit and bulbs if i left it on there)

But for a replacement power supply should i be looking at 5a, 6 or 8 the listings on trademe (our version of ebay) suggest only running a 5a (60 watt load) for 2-3 hours.

Doesn't matter once you have a ps w/ enough amperage.
You could get a 12V 100A and it would behave just like your 12V 5A one..

If you want to overdrive the system you need to just increase voltage a LITTLE.. Say 12-13.5V.
V x A = W so keep the ps in that range.. 60/13.5 say =4.44A supply
