Hey all . I was at my lfs yesterday and saw that they have a large micromussa or acan colony for ***. Its labeled as a favia. It has around 200 polyps. I am not 100% that its micro rather than acan. Its brick red with light colored centers. heads look much smaller than lord. Any other ideas on how to tell them apart by looking at them. What do you guys think? Should I jump on it? Reason for me asking that question is because I normally don't spend that on corals and wanna make the right choice. Thanks

I don't have a camera phone, but maybe with a camera. I'll try to get one if I can get out there today.

Well there are some very common lords that are selling fairly cheap nowadays .....but if you like it, I would say a lord that size would be well worth it.

This guy at the lfs never knows what he has. Its sitting on a rack with other lords and echinata. This ones polyps size is about 1/2 the size of those. Plus the color is really punchy. I am gonna go for it, and pick it up today. Will post pics tonight.

will do. I will take a fresh pick straight out the bag. then a few once its settled. Its one of those pieces, that when you see it in the lfs, it gives you that feeling. You all know that feeling. I will be at there door today right at 12 when they open.

I'm not into it for money. but it would be nice to make my money back and still have a nice piece. Definately the first part ." ol' my LFS mislabled a coral and I can get it at a steal."

So you bought it?!!! NIIIIICE!

I hate when LPS gets like that--I can't ever tell what to do with it when it's deflated. Did it just arrive at the LFS?

It's gonna be sweet---

It looks like it will be great--no doubt.

I was just wondering what you will do to let it puff back up. I've had that happen a couple times and I can't beat it.

Do you feed it yet?
