Hi, I just set up a new system with sump. I don’t know why but there are lots of micro bubbles. Made sure the water level in the sump was high and the flow to return was just right. The bubbles have gone down tremendously but I can still see some of them (kind of cloudy). Pls help #reefsquad

Your sump level looks too high. Water should be flowing between the last two baffles, not over it.

That said, that's a lot of foam building up there in general. Are you running a skimmer?

Hi I’m not running a skimmer yet. There is foam buildup but idk where it’s coming from. My pump would produce more bubbles when water level was lower this I topped it off more and seems to have reduced it a bit. Here is a video pls advise on what I can do further.

As a temporary measure you could set up foam along the length of the last baffle. Water will go through the foam and the bubbles will remain trapped in the foam.

Then take more photos in the sump of your piping and equipment so that it can be seen clearer what is going on.
