Hello fellow reefers,

I have recently added a mystery wrasse to my system and the angelfish and tang kept him in place for the first week or so. Now he’s picking at the midas blenny since he wants to swim near the blenny’s sleeping spot he naturally gets in defensive mode but the wrasse has been fighting back.
This is a couple of shots I got of him in his home, will this heal on its own? I soak foods on selcom and aminos/garlic so hopefully that helps healing as well.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've had mystery wrasses that terrorized the tank-- killing some fish and literally chasing others to the point that they jumped out. I've also heard of them being totally chilled out. Not a crazy outcome for this species, but not super frequently discussed.

They seem to behave with the angelfish and the tang so far, the tang is 4x his size so I’m sure they know better and the angelfish is 2x it’s size. I just think he’s also tired of getting picked on by the angelfish too.

I think it's the long thin wrasse-like body shape that brings out the territorial behavior. Mine absolutely lost its mind over a solorensis wrasse.
