Midas Blenny

My Midas blenny was a very pretty yellowish color with a hint of melon in the middle. About 4 months ago my original 29g had an ick outbreak. The Midas Blenny was scratching so I know he was effected but never did see the spots due to is color..
I put him and the other survivors into a QT tank with copper for almost 3 months. He came through ok and is now happy in my new tank. However, his color seems lost forever! I am aware of the color changes as I have experiences quite an array of colors from him but he never got the bright yellow back at all! He is slightly yellow but more greyish, tank with a light yellow tail.
Did the copper treatment do that? Does anyone know if his color will come back at some point? Its been 2 months and his color is awful but he is very healthy and eating fine. I will try to post a pic below

Oh, Ok thanks! I guess it wasn't that..The coloring is so strange.. Well, at lease he is happy! Funny looking but happy!

Mine does the normal and darkens when he's stressed but it goes back to normal

Yeah, mine does that also! He turns camouflage brown, to almost a dark purple to a lighter brown. So funny the colors. But the normal relaxed color is now a grayish pale yellowish mostly grey just like the pic I posted.. Very weird!

He should not have permanently lost his coloring, but may take more time to want to look his best. He may be trying to camouflage a little more after facing disease, being caught placed in a smaller tank, caught again, then returned.

Try placing a mirror so he sees 'another' midas, or perhaps add female squamipinnis anthias, as they school with them in the wild, or at least more peaceful open water fish.

One of my favorite fish, I had one that was mainly blue/purple with a bright yellow tail.

I do hope you are right.. I like the idea of the Anthias because that is a fish on my list! I was going to inquire if it was a good fish for my tank.. I'm excited to get it now! BTW..can you tell the females?And I don't know if my Midas is a boy or a girl :p

I have in larger tanks. In those instances they didn't pay any attention to one another.

SoI have to thank you because even though a anthias was on my list I was mot going to get a squamipinnis anthias and now my midas blenny is slightly yellow for the first time in 5 months!
I don't know if that is the reason but there is no other explanation! So THANKS!!
