Hey, all! New to the forums and semi noob to reefing. I’ve been in the aquarium Hobby for 10+years done Plenty of high tech planted and enjoyed it. Looking for great advice been creeping and a lot of knowledgeable peeps here. I have a chemistry and biology background so I have a great fascination with the mini ecosystems we create. I started small and going to expand to a larger setup but pico and nano is my thing. With that being said, any advice for a pico reef would be greatly appreciated!!!

here’s my build:

Tank: waterbox mini clear 6

Filtration: Fluval aquaclear rated for 20 gals

Light: Kessil a160 tuna sun (running intensity 10% max)

Powerhead: hygger powerhead rated for up to 60 gals (which I highly doubt but enough for my tank)

Heater: Fluval 50 watt

Substrate: caribsea Fiji pink and rock from lfs

Livestock: hypnea blue and dragons tongue, Zoa and Ricordea frag, blue damsel, 3 bl hermits, sexy shrimp

dosing: nothing except phytoplankton and pods And for the macro im doing chaetogro.

no issues yet running strong 1.5 months and livestock was introduced yesterday. Parameters are stable.

Welcome! Glad you joined. Seems like you are well on your way.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). Everything above would be great to copy into new post over in other section of Forum > Members Aquariums > size ... etc

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
