Tank is still recovering from fenbendazole treatment. Actually have to chop up most of the birdsnests. They all died off on the inside. Only the tips made it.

Update pics. Birdsnest are pretty much gone. Rearranged some pieces. White epoxy takes forever to blend in.

Get looking tank. I'm currently building a 57 Deep Blue. My build thread is called My 57 Rimless. I have a question. I can't decide if I should use my bio pellet reactor or go with Chaeto that I had planned. I already have the bio pellet reactor and it would allow me to use that chamber of my sump for a frag tank. But I really wanted to try Chaeto. Are you happy you switched to bio pellets? Would you go back to Chaeto?

Chaeto worked great. I wanted a frag section instead of looking at racks in the tank.

Either works well, it's just what you want. Chaeto and GFO, or pellets and maintaining nitrate to pull out po4. Pellets only work if nitrate and phosphate are both present. (needs one to pull the other)

Nice tank. What are you using to dose nitrate?

Seachem Flourish Nitrogen

I was adding nitrate on occasion for the EcoBak pellets.
Switching to prodibio.
Actually just added strontium recently. It tested 0.
Going to run a full set of tests later.

Aim for 5ppm. I dose based on test result, so it varies. Formula is
(tank volume x target nitrate x .05 = ml to add)

Latest test result
