Finally I was able to obtain a very nice Magnifica. It is great to have good friend who spotted this beautiful anemone, bought it for me, make sure he is healthy and then shipped it to me. Thanks a lot Eric.
Anyway. I got him Thursday. He was in my friend's tank from last weekend, never deflated. When I received him on Thursday, he seem healthy, even in the bag. I put him in QT for a few days, but never treat since he never deflated. I moved him into my sump this afternoon. He is looking great. and healthy. I hope that he will be with me for a long time.

Picture of him under Kessil, white light, in the sump.

Thanks

Nice. Why in the sump though?
Shaun,
My sump, essentially my refugium, is a very nice place where I can rehab anything. My tank is big, get my hand on him in there is much harder. In my sump, I can adjust light and circulation to what ever I want. I plan to keep him there feed him a little until he is really in top shape, then move him to my DT.

That makes perfect sense now mate, so you basically introduce him to similar lighting and flow conditions as he will get in your tank without being bothered by anything else then move him upstairs.

I like your system already!:)

Wow Minh! That is an awesome Mag! Maybe the best I have seen in the hobby!

What color is the column? Any idea where he originated? Africa perhaps?

No kidding! Those colors are beautiful. I would love to run across one like that. Purple or red columns are great, but usually the best color on a Mag is the column because the tentacles are typically bland. I have seen Mags like you have diving in Palau, but never in a store. I bet it is very healthy to still have those colors.

Such a great find! It will be a great addition to your display.

Killing me with this one. That’s my dream color. Been searching for about 3 years. We just never get a chance a those out on the east coast. I am surprised the base is brown though. I would have expected purple based on others I have seen in other people’s tanks that looked similar to yours.

He is in the DI, the column color is dark orange, not tank or plain brown. Actually very attractive coloration.
Thanks for the kind words everybody

Please update with some display photos when you can. I have not followed any of your posts since the hurricane and gas/generator fiasco. Glad to see youre back at it!
