I suppose I'm way overdue on an update. This tank went through a rebuild over the winter. I lost my female clarkii for reasons unknown. They were laying eggs and happy, and then one morning I found her dead. :( So I took the opportunity and redid the aquascape and moved the male clarkii to the big tank.

Tank is ~9months in now and doing great. Just a few SPS on the tunze magnet rock and a JF fox flame and burning banana on the main portion. The rest I'm kinda thinking I'll fill in with some zoa. I'm using TM all-for-reef (DIY version) now and love the single bottle dosing via a Kamoer X1.

The kung pao monti is taking over the frag rack. I really should have moved it long ago.

Little tank is going well. I had planned to upgrade to a Red Sea ReefLED, but haven't gotten the mounting adapter yet so still running on just the PrimeHD.

Been dosing DIY mix of Tropic Marin All-for-Reef now for almost a year now. Currently dosing 10ml a day and I'm pretty happy with the ease of use and have no trouble keeping alk stable.

Been a good year for this tank. When I set it up last year two of the acro's came from my old tank that had been ravaged by AEFW. This JF fox flame and BC Spainbow were on death's door a year ago. They've made remarkable recoveries.

The spainbow was barely clinging to life. It was a handful of polyps on the edge of a plug.

And now. It's still pretty small, but doing so much better.

Upgraded to a Red Sea ReefLED 90 for some additional PAR. Under the AI prime the best I was getting was ~150par at the top of the tank for the fox flame and sub 100 in most of the rest of the tank. Setup the RL90 at 40% power to start and it's matching the PAR. Using acclimation mode over the next 2 months I'll raise it to 60%.

Hosting some frags for a friend who's moving right now. He's got some nice pieces here; be a shame if some went missing...

I'm pretty happy with the RS90 led. The app/connectivity is a little wonky, but after setting up the light I don't really need to connect anyway. I'm running the 20k preset @60% power. Everything looks great.

Clowns are weird... they've decided to start sleeping in the hair algae growing on the frag rack. ;Bucktooth

Nice tank! Got the same and was thinking on HOW to dose and second, WHAT to dose.

I would love a all-in-one product.. But is this enough and also, how do I do the setting in how much to dose?

Actually my corals look good, but my bubble gum is always having retraced polyps. I really dont know why! AI Prime HD for me..

Any suggestions on dosing (cheap dosing tool maybe)

I'm using the Kamoer X1 and it's been pretty reliable. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/x1-bluetooth-micropump-kamoer.html?dfw_tracker=43788-212093

I started very low with all for reef initally (like 2-3ml per day) and have slowly ramped up over the past year to 15ml/day now. Test your Alk every day or two at first to get an idea of which way Alk is trending and adjust the AFR dose as needed.

Well thanks, need to check if this is available in switzerland.

When did you start dosing?
When the tank is new I am not sure if my Kh and Ca usage is already reliable. What would you suggest?

I could also try dosing ATI Nano Essentials which is a two-part system.

I started pretty soon after the tank was setup, maybe a month or two in.

Not sure if I understand „dosing“ but what do you do after WC? Keep the dosage as Kh and Ca wont be touched or how does that work?

I didn't make any adjustments during water changes. I use Instant Ocean salt which mixes up to ~10dKH which is higher than I keep the tank (8-9dKH), but not significantly. It did lead to some slight increases in Alk but it wasn't generally a problem.
