Do not look for a male. From the group you have one dominant female will make the transition to a male.
It is wonderful to see how the fins develop and colours change.
There are 2 kinds of lyretails. The Fiji and the Maldives ones. Both kind of males develop crazy colour.

Wow, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. :D

Where do you keep your nitrate and phosphate level at? Are you dosing any color supplements?

Here's the tank Parameter. ( Nyos Test kit)
Ca - 450
Kh - 8
Mag - 1350
No3 - 10ppm
Po4 - 0.025

For supplement I use Reasea ABCD

Yes, the male is very dominant.
The diffuser look great. Can still see shimmering effect but without the red, green and blue and there's no more disco light effect at the bottom of the tank.
I think the colour is blended in nicely with the diffuser. And is not so glaring now when I siting at my work desk.
