Finally!!! :D

Hi;
I'm curious with the above set up?

You have a variable flow-rate return pump & a gravity fed ATO maintaining the level in that part of your sump.

If the pump is running at half speed, & you ramp it up, the water level in that part of the sump will fall significantly & level back up with an influx of RODI water via the ATO.

How do you get around this?

Do you have the pump running at full throttle permanently?

or, you don't change the setting?

or....?

Actually the flow rate on the Vectra is NOT variable.

Very Nice! Love the Dendro's.
I have had a single head i feed 2 or 3 times a week for a couple of months now. Still waiting for it to split. Any tips? I feed LPS pellets and/or Kikari fish pellets mostly.

Thank you! Here's a picture of it in January 2016! I feed it large mysis and LRS Reef Frenzy 4-5 times/week. It's my wife's and my favorite coral, hence why it's the centerpiece coral! :)

Very good looking set up and I may steal that T5 Radion combo idea. Did you ever add a fan?
I have two XR30 G4's over a 48in and wondering if I want to spend the money to upgrade to T5 LED combo.
How is the weight?

Thanks! I haven't added the fans yet. You should definitely add T5s to supplement the radions! And the fixture is probably around 30lbs.

A little update:
Coralline algae is starting to appear!! I added a baby lawnmower blenny a week ago and he's doing a great job keeping the hair algae in check. I also added 6 tiger sand conch and 12 trochus turbo snails.
Here's a recent FTS! :)

I don't think I need the fans, but I'm gonna add two 4" or maybe larger fans just in case. Just doing more research which fans to get.

Here's a close-up pic of the ricordeas! :)

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
