Anyone have a problem with using star San for sterilizing? I do a ton of home brewing and it’s the leader as far as sterilization.
The MSDS lists H401, toxic to aquatic life

No idea if that matters at all at the concentrations that would be in the reactor afterwards, but why chance it when there are working, proven alternatices? Completely different field, different priorities.

But report back if you do it anyway, especially longterm

As long as you rinse it really really well after I would imagine that’s fine, but brewing sanitizers can be a challenge to rinse off. However I also think it’s probably overkill. I’ve had no issues sanitizing with vinegar.
