Why are the general minimum tank size guidelines for a yellow different from the others? In general I've seen and heard yellows are okay in a 75-90 gallon and at least 6ft 120 for scopas, purple, gem, etc. Why?

i cant think

Honestly, I personally believe they shouldn’t be. The Yellow CAN get to sizes the gem and scopas gets. They can certainly get the attitude as well, really the only tangs suitable for the 4’ tanks is smaller Ctenochaetus.

I don't think there's a good argument for treating one of the five Zebrasoma smaller species (not counting the two sailfins) any different than any of the others.
