I have a friend who has a 180 gallon tank with dual corner overflows that he just broke down two weeks ago and is giving me. He kept his saltwater tank for years, then got out of the hobby and just kept Koi fish.
About two years ago, he resealed the tank and removed the corner overflow baffles from each corner, but obviously this tank is still drilled.
I will be turning this into a mixed reef with a sump and refugium but with the missing corner overflow baffles, I need to decide what to do with the drilled tank….
Should I buy new baffles?
Do something else creative with the plumbing?
Check valves are out of the question. Im
Not risking that flood in my wife’s living room. She’s a pretty happy wife and I prefer her to stay that way.
