I had a Yellow Watchman Goby that was always hanging out in the open.

Two weeks go I went out of town and when I came back he had jumped into the overflow. I finally got him out but he was not a happy camper. The next day he disappeared and I have not seen him since.

I have checked everywhere...sump, overflow, floor, etc and I can't find him anywhere.

I assumed he was dead, but there have been no ammonia or nitrate spikes in my tank. I haven't found his body either.

Is it normal for a yellow watchman goby to go missing for 2 weeks?

What do you think, is he dead or alive?

Totally normal. That’s what they do.

They can disappear for awhile, but even if he dies, unless the tank is tiny ammonia wilp not be detectable.
