I recently got a watchman goby for my 32 gallon tank. he was doing just fine until my clowns kept attacking him. i dont know what to do since they are in a 32 gallon tank since its plenty of room. also to mention, i have a royal gramma and a bicolor blenny.

Does the watchman have a little cave for himself? Watchman usually goes into the rocks so my first thought is why does he not go to the rocks to protect himself?

He doesnt have a cave. We recently just added him and he would lye on the sand. He is now swimming on the glass towards the top of the tank. Also, quick update, my bicolor blenny just started to charge at him so i dont know if this is a territory thing

Sounds like too many fish for that tank. Often a pair of clowns alone can take over a 32g tank.

PS. Every fish in the tank should have a place it can retreat to out of sight from you and other fish. Clowns are an exception they're perfectly fine huddling in an upper corner or near a powerhead.

This is a fish that lives in caves and has a natural built in instinct to hide in rocks. Royal Gramma is also a cave dwelling fish. IMO you might have aggression issue's without enough rock, and possibly disease since the fish will get stressed from not being able to hide. Each fish needs to have it own little home away from others where it can hide, its a natural thing. just my 2 cents good luck

As stated by others above. Add more rock to see if that helps with aggression. There is a possibility that your clowns won’t let other fish into the tank. Certain types of clownfish are more aggressive than others.

32 gallons is not a lot of room for clown fish that share the tank with other fish. They are extremely territorial.

I have a Tomato Clown that goes out of its way to swim across a 6 ft long 125 gallon tank, just to pick on a Fox Face. That's a long distance to travel to pick on a fish bigger than her.

Have your clown fish laid eggs? This will heighten their aggression.
