Hi all, I've ordered my new tank 100cm x 55cm x 55cm and have a doubt now about the lightning using my Profilux 4, some advise ?
I can buy 3 Mitra lightbars-2 of 100 cm's or 2 LX7204 or 1 LX7206
Will 1 LX7206 cover my tank to have soft corals, LPS and some SPS in the middle upper area ?
How do I connect 2 Mitras LX7204 to my Profilux 4 ?
Is the hanging kit for the LX7204 or LX7206 included or do I have to order this seperate ?

The Mitras 7xxx series have its own interface and if you have two - you can run one as master and one as slave. You do not need a P4 for that. However - if you purchase a PLM-PWC Interface you can use your P4 as a master to your LX 7xxx

Two LX 7204 will give you around 170 W in energy effective mood (this is the best mode for long life time and effectiveness, IMO) - one LX 7206 will give you around 130 W in the same mode

However - if you chose 3 Mitras Light Bars 2 you need a splitter, a power module and a cable. It will give you around 190 W in not overdrive mode. You can run 4 Mitras Light Bar 2 on one splitter. If it is not enough - you can buy one more later. Of this reason - chose a 300 W power module. The 3 mitras Light Bar 2 option cost as much as the 2 LX 7204 option (yes you need a hanging kit to the LX serie. To the LED bars - there is one tank mount device with the delivery.

I run 2 Mitras 120 deep actinic 120, 1 Mitras 120 actinic and 1 mitras 110 Ocean Blue on my 120 cm * 50 cm * 50 cm tank and I´m very pleased with them. If you love the light of T 5 tubes - this light is something for you. I would chose 2 deep Actinic and 1 actinic in your case. And if necessary 1 actinic or ocean blue later on

Sincerely Lasse

Dear Lasse, thanks for your response.
1 LX7206 will be not enough I'm afraid, it covers only 85cm and my thank is 100cm
3 Lightbar-2 vs 2 LX7204 will be the same price range.
What are the pro's or cons of the LX7204 vs the lightbar-2's both managed with the Profilux 4 ?
Somebody knows if there is a stand for 2 LX7204, it's nicer to use a stand then the hanging kit, but they are very pricy :-(

There is a stand - see here from the European shop

My lightbars are mounted over the tank as a type of canopy. I can move them if I want to work in the tank.

Pros and cons - I have not run any LX 7xxx fixtures but the reason why I chose Mitras LED Bar 2 was mostly that I did not need to hang them over my tank and that they are without a fan. More than 10 kilos Philip fixtures was not an option :D. This was the best fixture without fans I could find and it has individual channels - I have 9 in my set up. Among this -RGB chip there Red, Green and Blue could be adjusted individually. However - my setup is around 300 W - for the moment i run it around 240 W durin peakhours (4 hours). The bars have no lenses but the coulors blend very well and I have no disco effect whatever.

But I´m sure - whatever you chose among GHL fixtures - you will be satisfied with it.

Sincerely Lasse

Lasse thanks.
Has somebody experience with managing the Mitras LX7204 with the Profilux 4 ?
What do I need to connect them (Wifi ?) and are they full controllable by the Pofilux 4 ?
