Hello..I have had a 110 gallon aquarium in the past with great results...however I have been out of the hobby for yrs now. My children recently bought me a 75 gallon that I plan on filling with marine fish...problem being is the stand has 2 very limited space on each side for filtration. 14 inch max length MOST ALL sump are 15 inches wide which won't fit. My thoughts are doing a 40 gallon sump to hide heaters, skimmer, ext and a larger canister filter on other side for filtration purposes..thoughts?

A 40 gallon sump for a 75 gallon tank should be way more than enough. Your sump is over half the size of your tank.

Ok. Thank you.. specs say ten to forty gallon..seems like a wide spectrum...thats why I was wondering if I should back up with canister...again all due to limited stand space.

Wanting to keep it fairly simple/laid back tank....insist on a sump to hid heater and skimmer ect..

25% the size of the display is basically the minimum. So I would say a 30-40 gallon would be plenty
