Mixing different nems

Hi, Is it possible to have different types of nems in the same tank. I currently have 5 rock nems, 1 sherman and 1 rainbow. I have heard that nems will release toxic chemical to kill each other

Yes you can.

I prefer different species not touching each other, tank size may be a factor there.

yes. i have mixed multiple species at a time without issue. including a temperate species.

For what it's worth, I have 30+ RFA's, a RBTA, a couple of Curly-Q anemones and a couple of sand dwelling anemones and they are all in a 40g cube with close to 100 different corals (mostly zoas).
