I’m installing a mixing station but my concern is that I have to place it in the garage and am forced to run only off the outside hose adapter. In Florida btw. I will not be attaching the mixing station to my tank.

The hose adapter outside is copper/brass . My concern is will the water be much worse than interior water and will the heat mess up the RODI unit ?

I was thinking about going with the 5 stage Premium plus RODI unit from BRS , seems simple, if anyone recommends the higher ones please comment.

Anything specific on the unit I need to make sure I have ?

In addition , what External pump would be necessary to push 40-50’ with one bend?

would prefer to spend as minimum as possible on this piece

What size is the tube you run the 75ft

Also could you send me which blue line that ? GPH wise.

Do you always have it running to mix saltwater or do you have a seperate pump mixing the water

Oh wow , not even the X version ? It says like 400-500 and it can only do 30ft.

Can’t believe it does 75

Also in Florida. I use brute trash cans in my garage and have a very small pump that pumps 75 feet to my sump. Then I pump it up to the display. While I get frustrated with the slow speed, it forces me to do maintenance on the tank while I wait. This was a very inexpensive option for me.

Also in FL (NWFL) I have brute cans in the garage with my RODI setup. My RODI is tied into my hot water tanks cold side. I added in a garden hose adapter onto the cold line and then drain through the hot water tank emergency line to outside the house. I use a VERY cheap pond pump I got at lowes for $60 and it pulls the water through about 35' of 1/2" ID hose from the garage. Its slow but like Psychedelic Fins said, it gives me time to clean and do other things while its filling and draining for a 10% change (30 gallons for me)

I don’t mind spending $150 on a pump that will do the job at 50-60’ a little faster

Will it have trouble getting up 5 feet to the tank at the end of 50’?

Also do I have to drain the waste water properly or can I just drop it outside

Mine is about 35' then 6' up into my tank with a TINY little pond pump.
Personally I use the same tiny pump and drop it into the tank and then drain into the kitchen sink about 30' away. After its drained I then place the pump into my brute can and pump into the tank from the garage.

And what about the waste water created by the RODI unit

My homeowner won’t let me tap anything to the water heater unfortunately
Id place the unit inside and only run the water line and waste line outside when you are making water. When done just unhook and bring back inside. Another option is adding a adapter for under a sink. Then run the waste line into the sink above. Its reversible and easy to install.
Adapter

That's vertical head pressure. There is 6 feet of vertical head pressure. There is some that can be calculated for horizontal runs and diameter of tubing. I still get about 200 gph flow.
