Hi Randy, Can you suggest some Mn, V, and Mo salts and which charges do I want? I found these but are there even better choices than these or are any of these dangerous?

Mn - I found manganese chloride dihydrate powder and 100mL bottles of 1M MnCl2 solution room temp. I was thinking powder over solution to last longer.

V - Vanadium Chloride VCl3 and VCL2 - which charge do I want or both? VCL3 looked to be more common. the oxide has dissolution issues I think and the pure powder is dangerous yes?

Mo - MoCL5? Again which charge? is 5 ok, multiple charges mixed? Mo5 is oxidizing agent right - bad?/what to use instead?

I was also able to find some sulfide and nitrate salts like Mn(NO3)2 xh20 or x4h20. Am I correct in assuming that regardless of it being a Chloride, nitrate, or sulfide salt that the dose will be so small that while I will bring up my target trace, nitrate/sulfide/Cl won't be raised all that much, correct? If that is correct then I will just choose the cheapest or should I stick w Cl salts?

Two final thoughts, I only want to dose what's low so I don't overdose trace already high with a all in one additive. Is this a sensible approach and is ICP accurate enough to adjust based off of if I test monthly? Lastly how fast are these depleted, is monthly adjustment way too infrequent? TY!

This thread describes some of those:

Manganese dichloride seems fine.
