Modern reef with kalk?

how should i go about using this one4reef?
168gallon system that mainly runs on kalk and hand dosages of traces like seachem reef trace and or trace plus and 69ml of kalk over 24hrs.
should i back off some kalk first? i mainly wanted to add modern reef for the traces and aminos in the system...im not going to be chasing numbers but plan to do quarterly modernreef icp. i just want things to be in the system rather than missing them if that makes sense. just keeping it simple. so kalk would do then heavy lifting and one4reef for a little pick up and replenish whats missing . thx in advance. BTW its a mixed tank system but sps heavy lately

69ml of saturated kalk is almost nothing for a 168g system.

I may not be understanding but I was feeding a medium density mixed reef 2800ml saturated kalk water daily on a 125g.

I dose close to 1700mls of fully saturated kalk and 236 mls of All For Reef. I dont think you'll have any issues.

yea i mainly did it for ph stabilization , also on a avast kalk stirrer basically 3ml every hr

The modern reef is a pretty high ph formula. I'm not seeing how 69ml of kalk is doing much for that size tank over 24 hours ph wise.

I can not imagine even seeing a change in PH at only 3ml /hr.

you should be able to adjust and keep the kalk active.

What is you alk and cal currently at?

Small doses of kalkwasser will not appreciably impact pH over the course of a day.

Like others have said, 69ml is not going to show any effect on your system. I would use about 8000ml on a 190 gallon system daily and that just contributed 25% of my daily DKH needs. You have tons of room to just run off of Kalk. If you do end up being all SPS you can run Kalk at full steam of your evap and then supplement with another type

ok thanks everyone for your input, i found my alk consumption was dropping my alk super low and thats why my ph was hurting. im now at 160ml at 16 doses of 10ml, will keep testing and adjusting and currently at 40ml of 0ne4reef. still need to dial things in. again i appreciate all the input
